Insurances Accepted:

Dear Families of OT 4 Kids,

We hope everyone has been staying safe and healthy during this time and would like to announce that our clinic is in the phases of slowly re-opening. OT 4 Kids is considered an essential business, therefore we wanted to share that we will slowly begin seeing in-person clients.

Families who are not currently participating in tele-therapy will be the first group of families to have the option to come back to the clinic for the person OT sessions. Our goal is to limit the number of people (clients, families, and clinicians) who are in the building as much as possible during this first phase of reopening. Tele-therapy will continue to be an option for families and we encourage families to continue with this service if they are able to, as we begin to open the clinic in phases. Please be sure that we will be taking every precaution recommended by the CDC to ensure the health and safety of our therapists and families.

Should your child require clinic based services, please reach out to your individual therapist to discuss alternatives.

We will continue with a drop-off and pick-up model to ensure everyone's safety. Please make proper arrangements as we cannot allow anyone waiting in the waiting room, unless previously discussed with OT 4 Kids. 6-foot distancing markers will be placed around the clinic so we can safely social distance during pick up and drop off times, as wel as, during sessions.

When you schedule your appointment, your therapist will let you know if you will be dropping off and picking up your child up either at the front or back entrance. We will also be staggering appointment times to reduce the number of children being dropped off and picked up at the same time to continue to ensure safe and social distancing practices within the clinic. Please do not come early as we will end our sessions on time. The OT 4 Kids team will make themselves available via phone call, videoconference, or email so you can stay informed about the course of your child's therapy due to in-person debriefs being shortened at this time.

Your treating therapist will reach out to you directly to set up your upcoming appointments. Families needing to attend their child's session can reach out to to discuss options.

All children entering the building will have his or her temperature taken with a no-touch forehead thermometer, and therapists will also take their own temperatures daily before sessions. According to the CDC a temperature of 100.4 is considered a fever. We ask if you or your child has been exposed to anyone in your household who has had a fever or any symptoms of illness in the last 48 hours please do not bring them for therapy sessions, as well as, notify your therapist of any recent travel or plans to travel. These policies will also be mandatory for our therapists.

Our offices will routinely be deep cleaned by professionals and will use hospital grade cleaning solutions. In addition, we have purchased Ultraviolet Lights sterilizers that will be used for cleanings after sessions, and all the toys, tables, door handles and high touch surfaces will be wiped down and sterilized with alcohol and/ or medial grade cleaning supplies as recommended by the CDC between sessions.

All therapists will be required to wear a mask and gloves during sessions, and may also wear a face shield if necessary. We also ask that parents/caregivers wear masks when dropping off and picking up their children so we can keep everyone as safe as possible. Children over 5 years who are able, are also asked to wear masks to during their sessions. These will not be provided by OT 4 Kids. Parents will need to provide for their own children and selves. We will be washing hands both at the beginning of our therapy sessions and end of sessions, as well as, using hand sanitizer between activities. There will be no more than 3 children allowed in the gym at one time, only one child per time in the house room and/ or upstairs room, sessions will be reduced to 45 minutes to allow for ample cleaning time, and the gym doors will be left open for increased air circulation.

If you or your caretaker are feeling ill, exhibiting any symptoms or if you feel that you have been exposed to COVID-19 please cancel your child's appointment or plan a tele-therapy session for your child. Should your child show any symptoms of illness, please cancel their sessions beforehand. Our policy is 24 hours of advanced notice, however during this time we will be more flexible.

Please be sure to also pass along this information to anyone who may be bringing or picking up your child from sessions. We are looking forward to seeing everyone soon and will continue to stay in close contract with our families should new information arise! If you should have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly.

Thank you,
OT 4 Kids Staff
